The days finally start to get warmer and with spring and summer come the dog fleas and ticks.

Dogs can get infested with them by other dogs and their environment.

They are really annoying and can cause itching, inflammation, and infection.

This year I tried out several different collars for my dog to prevent the invasion and these are my personal recommendations.

1. Bayer Seresto Flea and Tick Collar for Dogs by Bayer Animal Health

The advantage with this collar is that it lasts for up to 8 months.

My vet recommended it to me and it can be easily worn with a normal collar.

It kills the fleas and ticks through contact so they don’t even have the chance to bite the dog.

Although some people mentioned in the reviews that their dog had a bad skin reaction, mine was totally fine.

As I said every dog is different and what works for one might not work for others.

Always supervise your dog while they have the collar on.

2. Flеa Tiсk Collar Prevention Control for Dogs & Cats by BRISON

This collar uses essential oils and is great for dogs with sensitive skin.

I really loved this one as the smell is great and it’s very lightweight and doesn’t have any harsh chemicals.

It worked great and I can only recommend it.

3. New 2019 Flea Collar for Dogs by Pruuno

Just like the first collar, you do not have to change the collar monthly.

My dog got rid of the fleas pretty fast and I couldn’t see any big difference between the two collars.

The only significant point was the smell. It was quite strong but bearable.
